In 2005 Karuna began her work at Banya5 while finishing up a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Bastyr University. She also has a thriving private Acupuncture practice here in Seattle. 
Karuna skillfully incorporates basic Chinese Medical philosophy into her work and at Banya5 is well known for her body wraps and body scrubs. She is expert at stimulating the major acupuncture meridians-- pathways of the body's flow of qi, or life energy-- as well as activating some of the body’s lymphatic drainage channels, enhancing cleansing and detoxification.
